Stuart Little

Directed by: Christine Gregoire, Dan Rasmussen, & Jeff Lean

Synopsis:

This is the wonderful children’s classic story about a mouse named Stuart Little who is born into an ordinary New York family. The many adventures—both big and small—of Stuart Little are brought vividly to life in this theatrical presentation. The actors play many human and animal roles in a series of delightful scenes that make up the marvelous maneuverings of a mild-mannered mouse trying to survive in a "real people's world." This show will be a delight for audiences of all ages.

LMS Spring Musical:

Singin' in the Rain

Directed by: Christine Gregoire, Dan Rasmussen, Jeff Lean, Kyle Erickson, Maggie Willis

Synopsis:

Don Lockwood is a silent film star who barely tolerates his airheaded leading lady, Lina Lamont. After the first talking movie ends up being a huge success, the head of the movie studio decides he has no choice but to turn the new Lockwood and Lamont film, The Dueling Cavalier, into a “talkie”. The production has many problems, the worst being Lina's comically terrible speaking voice.

Don's best friend, Cosmo Brown, comes up with the idea to overdub Lina's voice with the voice of Kathy Shelden, a hopeful new actress and turn The Dueling Cavalier into The Dancing Cavalier, a musical comedy film.

Meanwhile, Don falls in love with Kathy. When Lina finds out, she is furious and does everything possible to sabotage the romance.

The premiere of the new movie is a huge success. When the audience requests for Lina to sing live, Don and Cosmo improvise and get Lina to lip-synch while Kathy sings into a second microphone while hidden behind the curtain. The result is one of the most beloved endings in musical theatre history.

Popular songs from Singin' in the Rain include: Make 'Em Laugh, Moses Supposes, You Are My Lucky Star, Good Morning, and Singin' in the Rain.
